Current Work Status
Dr Crystal Zhang joined Belgrave Medical Clinic as a GP Registrar in February 2026.
After 5 years working in hospitals, Crystal is following her passion to become a General Practitioner by starting her training with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners to specialise in General Practice.
Crystal has a special interest in children’s health, women’s health, chronic disease management, preventive medicine, and holistic family care. Crystal has completed the Sydney Child Health Program, supporting her passion for providing high-quality, evidence-based care for infants, children, and families.
Dr Zhang is passionate about building long-term, trusting relationships with her patients and is known for her warm and approachable manner, while valuing clear communication, collaborative decision-making, and practical, evidence-based care. She is dedicated to supporting individuals and families through all stages of life.
Career History
After completing her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Melbourne, Crystal worked across multiple health services in Australia. She has a strong hospital background in general medicine, medical specialties and paediatrics.
Personal
Having grown up in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Crystal takes pride in serving patients in the community, including those from diverse backgrounds, with warmth and cultural understanding. In addition to English, Crystal speaks fluent Mandarin.
In her spare time Crystal enjoys time with family and friends, and participates regularly in Taekwondo.
